How does current education system treat human beings as means rather than as end?

When I entered in my school for the very first time in my childhood, i did not know what is the school meant for? But as all the children used to go to the schools, I started doing the same. But I could not understand many things in schools like teacher used to give homework to write the same lines repeatedly in the notebook and I used to not complete my homework as I did not find it beneficial. I got punished for this but I did not do the stuff for what I did not understand the reason behind it. As I grew up , I got to know about the “purpose" of education that was — to get a good job in future.

I worked hard after that as I got the purpose to study. But the things started to change when I started reading some motivational books and books for self improvement in my college life to improve my language and communication so that it can help me getting a good job but ended up having so many doubts in my mind.

I got to know about the other things which are more important than a good job only. Many people are suffering even after having a good career which led me to think about the bigger picture of life. At that time I become an aspirant for a valuable life.

I decided to research more about this concept and got to know about the misunderstandings that I have developed since my childhood. The education system was only creating means for creating materialistic things but forgot to acknowledge the human as an end. Matter became so important than the happiness, satisfaction , or even the life of an individual.

The worst part of the story is that many people do not even get to know about this concept for their whole lives and spend life as cog in the machine for the whole life. It was heart wrenching to see the people being ignorant about many aspects of life which can change their lives for better.

Some examples are — parents and teachers force their children at a very early stage to learn any programming language , different foreign languages ,etc. But a very important aspect of life which is about values , ethics and development of mind take the backseat. Children are not able to think anything beyond the life that is prescribed to them and become conformist to the prescriptions.

Reality can be different as well that I got to know for the first time when I watched some travel vlogs on social media platforms where people are earing by following their passion to travel. I got to know the bigger concept that THERE IS NO RULE TO LIVE A LIFE, YOU CAN MAKE YOUR OWN RULES.

I being too small to suggest the leaders of the countries to change the education system, wish to aspire people to educate children about the larger purpose of their life where they have their independent status and can create their lives as they want.
